To appropriately celebrate 10 years of The Light and 40 years of Joy Division, Peter Hook & The Light are gearing up for a tour in 2020 in which they will perform both “Unknown Pleasures” and “Closer” in their entirety. On Sept. 26, 2022, they will stop at La Madeleine in Brussels for an exclusive concert focusing on Joy Division’s repertoire.

In May 2010, Joy Division’s defining album ‘Unknown Pleasures’ was pulled from under the dust for a charity concert. Since then, a new album from the repertoire of Hook’s bands New Order and Joy Division has been featured every year. By now, just about every album has been covered, and Peter Hook & The Light recently completed a world tour with Factory Records’ Substance compilation albums.

Hook’s dedication to his oeuvre already led him to look back on “Closer,” “Still,” “Movement,” “Power Corruption & Lies,” “Low Life” and “Brotherhood. In the eight years that followed the first concert, the tally for The Light ran to 500 shows and quite a few tours.

Together with The Light, Hook is giving a whole new audience a taste of his early repertoire at festivals and concerts. It already earned them a place as headliner at Bestival, Primavera Sound, Benicassim, 1234 and other festivals in Europe and the world. In addition, the band already toured Europe, North and South America, China, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, with success and rave reviews from fans and critics as a result.
