California indie band gives reunion show after long absence on Nov. 7, 2022.

Pavement will play at the Royal Circus in Brussels on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022. After an earlier reunion in 2010, the band is finally returning to the live stage. A unique experience for fans of this distinctive underground band.

A radio silence of more than 10 years followed Pavement’s breakup in 1999. In 2010, the band played some benefit shows and then surprised fans with a series of festival shows including Primavera Sound and Roskilde Festival. Unfortunately, a final reunion proved to be out of the question at the time. Now in 2022 they are returning to the concert stages. For fans the chance to enjoy this authentic and now timeless indie rock as before. With iconic songs like “Cut Your Hair” and “Gold Soundz,” it promises to be a nostalgic evening, did we mention that the nineties are back?

Pavement released five leading albums since the start of their musical career in 1989, including Wowee Zowee and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain. In addition, critics regularly cite the debut album Slanted and Enchanted as one of the leading indie rock albums of the 1990s. Today, the band is still an important source of inspiration for many an artist. The California band led by singer/guitarist Stephen Malkmus is still one of the most influential bands emerging in the American underground.(source: Royal Cirque)
