Chris Corner, frontman of IAMX and the trip-hop band Sneaker Pimps, evolved from timid young man in his room to the international artist who has been creating art that transcends gender and genre for years. His dark sound combines perfectly with the industrial synthpop and swaths of burlesque visuals he loves to exhibit during his impressive performances. He briefly went back to basics in 2020 with the acoustic album “Echo Echo,” but with “Machinate,” IAMX’s darkness resurfaces more.
