Under the banner “A Night with Dark Balloon,” the Retie-based promoter presents on Saturday, April 24, 2027, the most international line-up in its 12-year history. Five acts, one shared passion for dark electronic music — spanning electro-industrial pioneering, uncompromising EBM, post-apocalyptic darkness, and a genre-crossing blend of synthwave, EBM and metal.

Portion Control — pioneers of electro-industrial

One of the true founding names of electro-industrial sound, Portion Control bring decades of pioneering influence to the Retie stage.

Pro Patria + Tension Control — uncompromising EBM

Two acts built on the same uncompromising EBM foundation, Pro Patria and Tension Control anchor the harder, more classic end of the night’s sound.

QUAL — post-apocalyptic darkness

Bringing a bleaker, post-apocalyptic edge to the bill, QUAL adds weight and atmosphere to an already heavy night.

Sierra Veins — synthwave meets EBM meets metal

Closing out the announced acts, Sierra Veins bring their own explosive fusion of synthwave, EBM, and metal into the mix.

Patrick Codenys takes the afterparty

After the bands wrap, Patrick Codenys of Front 242 — a band Dark Balloon has welcomed to their stage twice before — takes control of the decks for the afterparty.

Doors open at 14:00 with the return of The Dark Record Fair (free entrance), and organizers have hinted at one more surprise still to be announced.
