Wave-Gotik-Treffen returns to Leipzig in 2026, once again turning the city into a meeting point for dark music fans from around the world. Every Whitsun weekend, thousands of visitors gather for this legendary festival that celebrates goth culture in all its forms — from music and fashion to art and spirituality.
The 2026 edition already looks exceptionally strong, with an exciting mix of international acts that promise to make it one of the best editions in years. Among the first confirmed names are several highly anticipated bands such as Einsturzende Neubauten , Front Line Assembly, She Past Away, Ash Code , London AfterMidnight and many others . They’ll share the bill with rising talents and exclusive reunions, offering a rich program that spans post-punk, EBM, darkwave, industrial, and neofolk.
Beyond the stages, Wave-Gotik-Treffen maintains its unique atmosphere with events across more than 30 venues — from romantic church concerts and museum exhibitions to avant-garde club nights. The festival’s inclusive spirit and broad artistic scope make it a must for anyone passionate about alternative culture.
